Heed to the Water

Among words,
care is most passionate
It coins love
and authenticates hate.
It steers waters to run
with veins in between rocks,
a wellspring of blood originating willpower
urging boats to make travelers succeed
in creating a home
in an unending flow
where falling
indicates adventure
– the water massaging
a mystified stranger
meeting the bearing residents of mists
unseen and voiceless from the breathing
but resounding
for visitors keen to the untroubled.

Burden is nonexistent
for people on foot crossing twice in a day
commonly conscious at the periphery
innately equipped to protect
when furious currents hit incidental targets of pain
needing to dodge away from the height
where stream drops are tangible fumes from the sun.

Concern is a factory of rocks.
Hands clasp on to grasp necessary shelter,
a location for spirits to unwind,
in seconds
an instant freedom from plunges of panic
and helplessness
in this space where thrill is force
and lasting drift is home.
